Piedmont High is a small public school of about 800 students in a community of 10,000, offering a strong college-prep curriculum to a highly competitive student body. Parent participation is extensive. Community members have developed a variety of support organizations, including an educational foundation. The town has supported a parcel tax for more than 18 years, enabling a 7-class program, small sizes, full counseling services and an expansive extra-curricular program.
PHS is ranked #73 in the Top 100 public high schools nationally by US News & World Report. Our California API is 10 (highest ranking) with a score of 903. PHS is a California Distinguished School and a US Dept. of Education National Exemplary High School.
